Job Description
- Dates: Late October – Late December (approx.)
- $38-$42 /hr depending on experience;
- 10-12 hrs/day during peak season;
- Accommodation: Shared house and work vehicle available for use;

About the role
- Operate a Case IH 7250 header with 40 ft front during the 2026 grain harvest.
- Harvest wheat, barley, lentils, canola and lupins.
- Set up and adjust the header to suit different crops and changing harvest conditions.
- Monitor grain quality, grain losses and machine performance and make adjustments as required.
- Operate GPS/autosteer and onboard monitoring systems.
- Complete daily servicing, greasing, cleaning and pre-start inspections.
- Identify mechanical issues early and assist with minor repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain the header and front to a high standard and report faults or damage promptly.
- Work safely around chaser bins, trucks and other harvest machinery.
- Communicate with the harvest team regarding paddock movements, unloading and grain quality.
- Assist with moving machinery between paddocks and setting up fronts when required.
- Assist with general harvest duties, maintenance and clean-up during weather or harvesting delays.
About you
- 2 previous grain harvests operating a header/combine preferred. Case IH Axial-Flow experience highly regarded;
- Applicant must be capable of operating and adjusting the machine independently, rather than requiring operator training;
- Manual drivers licence;
- Work extended hours and weekends when harvest conditions allow;
- Follow all farm safety procedures and maintain a safe, tidy work environment;
- Non smoker preferred.
