PLACED
#0963: 18yo, non smoker new Zealander looking to travel to Australia and complete a seeding/spraying season.  Travelling with a friend and a preference to be on the same farm or in the same area (friend’s details below).  Flexible on location. Looking for plenty of hours. From a dairy farming/ ag contracting background. Operated a range of John Deere, Case, JCB machinery, doing various jobs from planting, ripping, spraying, harvesting. Practical with a basic set of mechanical skills and extremely motivated to keep learning and always do the best to his abilities.  Great reference confirming a 10/10 operator – he comes from a really good family who are in dairy farming and ag contracting. He is very respectful, listens and takes instructions well, and you won’t have any trouble from him.  The referee confirms he is a highly reliable, respectful, and well‑regarded team member who is easy to work with and trusted by both colleagues and customers. Mature, polite, and take instructions well, with a strong sense of responsibility and care for equipment. From an operating perspective, rated 10/10, with extensive experience across tractors and trailers and strong mechanical awareness. Demonstrates excellent respect for machinery and safety and would be rehired without hesitation.

Friend:  The second candidate brings multiple seasons of agricultural contracting experience, with a strong dairy and machinery background, including silage operations, tractor work, GPS‑guided spreading and effluent handling.  He has worked closely alongside the first candidate in contracting environments, demonstrating consistent teamwork and a strong work ethic. Confident around machinery and quick to learn new systems. Two referees confirm he is a polite, honest, and reliable team member with a strong work ethic and a quiet, focused manner. He is well regarded within small and larger crews, take instructions carefully, and communicate appropriately when unsure. Described as respectful and easy to work with, he shows maturity beyond his years and a genuine care for doing the job properly. From a machinery perspective, he operates large modern equipment safely, complete pre‑starts and basic maintenance, and demonstrate good mechanical awareness, particularly in looking after machinery (machinery such as Fendt 900 with 24,000 litre tank on back, triple axle, Claas Xerion with 30,000 litre tank with narrow dribble bar). He would be rehired without hesitation.
