Job Description

  • Dates (approx): 13 Oct – 23 Dec;
  • Those travelling together will be considered if both have the relevant experience;
  • Machinery includes Case IH Rowtrac 500 and Coolamon Chaser Bin 36tn; and JD S790 with HD45R header or similar (TBC);
  • 2+ years experience operation agricultural machinery;

  • PEAK HOURS: 10-14hrs weather dependent, 12 days/fortnight. OFF PEAK: approx 8-10hrs/day 5 days a week;
  • 3 by 1 fibro house with aircon in main lounge and 2 bedrooms, concrete pad for caravan close to house as well;
  • Location 40km N/E of Northampton;

You will be working within a family business with modern agricultural practices, utilising RTK GPS, Control Traffic and spatial recording of data.  Our family values our employees and we work together to create a safe, efficient and enjoyable work place.  Other duties will include:

  • Conduct routine maintenance of machine that candidate is operating;
  • Help with maintenance of harvest support equipment;
  • Help with other operations that are being conducted concurrently with harvest;
  • Assist with breakdown repairs when required;
  • Assist with other farm operations when not harvesting.

Skills / minimum level of experience required:

- Minimum 2 years experience operating agricultural machinery
- must have completed a University degree, a trade or being in defence force
- must have good communication, work ethic, good character, work as a member of a team, be flexible with hours as season requires, sense of humour

Machinery to be operated:

- JOHN DEERE S790 + HD45R combine
- Case IH Rowtrac 500 + Coolamon 36tn Chaser
- Challenger 765e and 18tn Finch Chaser
- 2nd header yet to be confirmed, however likely a JDS790/780 with 13.6m front
- small FWA tractors that power field bins etc
