Job Description

  • Dates: Now until approx 9 January, with potential work after harvest;
  • Joining a large team, the primary role will be tramline renovating operating 150hp John Deere tractor using auto steer and a 3 point linkage renovator;
  • 6 day weeks (Monday to Saturday – Sunday off). Start around 6:00am – finish around 7:00pm. 7:00am – 5:00pm off peak times;
  • Accommodation included, and lunch/dinner during peak period;
  • Opportunity at times to rotate between two chaser bins to provide some variety;
  • Assist as a General Hand moving equipment and vehicles between paddocks and other general duties;
  • Suit someone with tractor operating experience, chaser bin experience and if possible previous exposure to John Deere monitors and autosteer;
  • Safety and well-being are extremely important to our cropping business.

Skills / minimum level of experience required:

Tractor operating experience of 1 - 2 years ( preferably John Deere), Chaser Bin experience and general farm work.

Machinery to be operated:

150hp John Deere tractor using auto steer and a 3 point linkage renovator. 500hp John Deere Tractor towing 36T Nyrex Chaser Bin.
Hilux and Lancruiser manual utes towing fuel trailers and compressors.

Typical days + hours to be worked during peak / off peak times:

Hourly rate range:
$35.50 - $36.50 dependent on experience

Current team structure:
Manager, Assistant Manager, Overseer/Mechanic, Senior Farmhand and Admin/Safety (all permanent) plus 4-5 casuals during harvest & seeding

Suitable for Single Person
Description of Accommodation:
2 x Dongas with 4 single rooms, each with a private ensuite (3 yo). Separate building containing shared TV area, dining area, kitchen and pantry, with separate but adjoining laundry room.
