Job Description

  • Dates: late March to early June (approx);
  • Join a large cropping programme with team of 8 operating JD 9RX640 with 60′ bar;
  • Previous seeding experience is highly regarded but we are willing to train someone with previous machinery operating experience;
  • 6-7 days per week during peak times;
  • $35-45/hr depending on experience;
  • 2 bedroom fully self contained airconditioned unit close to main house and sheds;
  • 15 minutes from town.

Other job details and expectations:

  • Assist filling up tractor with diesel and air cart with seed, granular fertilizer & Liquid UAN. Other staff will generally be there to assist with fill-up, approximately every 8 hours;
  • Basic machinery knowledge, with the ability to recognise an issue and call for breakdown support;
  • Carry out daily maintenance on tractor, air cart and air seeding bar; and regular safety and blockage checks;
  • You must be mature with excellent English and co-operate in a team environment;
  • Use clear and effective communication, verbally and on communication apps and devices;
  • Uphold high standards of safety as detailed in our online and one-on-one inductions.

Typical days + hours to be worked during peak / off peak times:
12 hour shift, 6-7 days per week during peak times, weather dependant. Days off when not able to seed.

$35-$45 depending on experience.
