Job Description

  • Dates: Late October – Mid December (approx.);
  • $40 – $50 p/h depending on experience;
  • Meals provided during peak periods;
  • Accommodation provided: Dongar shared kitchen and ablution;

About the role

  • Operating 4800 Western Star Truck with care to maximise efficiency;
  • Updating Weekly Trip Sheet daily.
  • Completing pre-start checks on the truck and trailers and checking them throughout your shift.
  • Completing accurate records of maintenance checks.
  • Taking grain samples to CBH for analysis
  • Loading harvested grain and delivering to CBH receival Sites etc and completing associated documentation.
  • Operating grain bagging machine.
  • Shifting machinery and equipment such as paddock silos and tractors, augers, firefighting equipment, motor vehicles and other personnel etc to the next paddock or farm.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working area.
  • When we are unable to harvest grain due to unfavourable weather conditions, machinery issues etc, you will be given general farm duties including sheep work and fencing or time off.

About you

  • Current MC Drivers licence;
  • Previous experience loading and unloading MC truck/trailers;
  • WorkSafe Certificate of Completion: Apply fatigue management strategies;
  • Satisfactory completion of a Commercial Vehicle Drivers Medical;
  • Non-smoker;
