Job Description

ASAP short-term farmhand / ground crew role available on a large-scale cropping property near Cascade, WA, to support the remainder of the seeding program.

 Good Things to Know: 

• Located approx. 135km from Esperance, near Cascade WA
• Family-run 100% cropping operation
• Cropping approx. 3,600-3,700ha of wheat, barley and canola
• Three adjoining farm blocks – no travel between farms
• Small, supportive team environment

• 3-4 weeks work (potentially longer, but not guaranteed)

About the Role:

This is a short-term, hands-on support role assisting with the final stages of seeding. The position focuses on ground crew and general farm duties rather than specialist machinery operation.

• Duties may include:
  • Fertiliser spreading (urea)
  • General paddock assistance
  • Rock picking (manual)
  • Assisting with reloading seeders
  • Supporting seed and fertiliser logistics
  • General farm duties as required during seeding

This role is ideal for someone practical and reliable who’s happy to jump in wherever needed to keep the operation running smoothly.

 About You:

• Some prior farm or seasonal experience preferred
• Comfortable with physical, outdoor work
• Practical, reliable and steady
• Able to work independently and follow direction
• Truck experience is advantageous but not essential
• Must be confident working around machinery
• Open to a short-term, ASAP opportunity

Note: This role does not involve air seeder operation.
