2x Air Seeder Operators, Beacon (REF 10938)
Job Description
- Dates: 02 March – 28 June;
- This 10,000ha cropping program is requiring 2x Air Seeder Operators to join their team of 6-7 this seeding season – pairs and couples will be considered if both have the right experience;
- You will be required to drive tractors on a 12 hour shift, including general maintenance;
- Hourly rate will depend on experience (up to $40-45/hr if you have extensive experience);
- Peak season is minimum 12 hours per day, 6 Days per week. Off peak is minimum 45 hours per week;
- Prefer people with background of machinery/tractor operations, ideally seeding experience, but not essential.
Other details:
- The machines use auotsteer and have Variable Rate Technology and operate on a 18 meter Controlled Traffic System.
- There will be other farm maintenance duties at the start and finish of seeding, such as assisting with pre-season servicing and clean down and pack away at the completion of seeding.
- There may also be lime and fertiliser spreading if you commence early enough in the season.
- We do have sheep on the property so there may be a couple of times when called upon to assist, but this will be limited.
- A good work ethic and a desire to work in the industry looked upon favourably.
- 2 bedroom accommodation unit with Split System Air-Con. Laundry facilities. NB: Shared bathroom, kitchen and lounge area so only those willing to share accommodation to apply.
